Bridgerton Inspired Party Ideas

Who doesn't love a tale of timeless romance? Bridgerton is a Netflix series based on romantic novels by Julia Quinn, produced by Shonda Rhimes (Grey's Anatomy, How to Get Away with Murder, Scandal). It follows the Bridgerton family as the oldest daughter Daphne enters Society with hopes to marry. She meets the Duke of Hastings, and well.. you'll have to watch to see what happens!

This is a very modern sexy take on the typical Regency-era romance. The music, the costumes, the eye-candy! It's no wonder the show and its talented cast have captured everyone's attention. While we can't put on an actual ball yet, we can indulge in a tea party on a budget. But how to host your own Bridgerton inspired celebration? Not to worry, we have you covered with a list of ideas and essentials - Duke not included, sorry!

Decorations

After watching the show, one thing that caught our eye is the lovely wisteria blooms so decorating with these lovely flowers is a must! Hang them above your table or add to clear table vases for a lovely look. Unlike real flowers, silk flowers won't wilt so you can reuse them for many events as well as home decor.

You can also add candles to your table for a bit of romantic atmosphere! For setting the table, add tea cups - the more antique looking, the better. They don't have to match, mismatching place-settings is in. Add a dusty blue tablecloth, a lace table runner, and napkins with napkin rings to create a more formal look. It's all about luxe details and adding a little bit extra to the decorations. Think pearls or silk rose petals sprinkled throughout - a touch of glam to make your tea party worthy of the Queen!

Drinks + Snacks

It's all about mini cupcakes and dainty cucumber sandwiches! For daytime, think high tea menu - Earl Grey with lemon slices and scones. For evening, serve your favorite drink or sparkling water and serve in glitterd champagne flutes. A charcuterie board of fruits and cheese would not be out of place.

The Costumes

Have any tiaras from your bachelorette party or Halloween? Time to dust them off! Add a few feathers or fans and you'll surely be diamond of the season! White gloves and a pastel flowy dress or a black top hat and you'll be looking the part of a Regency lord or lady.

It's all about taking the details over the top! Could a Bridgerton wedding trend be next? We think so! Don't forget to tag #BalsaCircle or @BalsaCircle on Instagram if you decide to use some of these ideas for your Bridgerton themed tea party!
