Fall Home Decor Ideas You'll Love
Ready for the dreamiest time of the year? The weather is finally cooling down and it's the perfect time to feel all the warmth and good vibes of family and friends, and get excited for upcoming holidays. Having a reason to refresh your home decor is one of the best things about the changing seasons and we believe that preparing your living space for future celebrations should be fun and stress-free. Decorate for fall with a few ideas and tips from Balsa Circle to get you into the seasonal mood!
Get Creative with Fall Home Decor
We are not in a holiday rush yet but it is the season when things cozy up and people start to get together and enjoy being indoors so why not take this time to get creative with fall home decorations? Even a simple door wreath can set a welcoming atmosphere. Your guests will appreciate all the extra touches you put into your space!
Think about dressing up your windows with fall ivy leaves or simply setting a few pumpkins or silk sunflowers on the table as a centerpiece. You can also add realistic mini faux plants or small artificial potted greenery to create balance and a refreshing atmosphere. If you have a mantel, set out smaller pumpkins and candle holders for a modern look. Adding candles to your home decor will make your space have that warm comfy feeling. Make it a little bit special by pairing your votive candles with artistic glass candle holders. Remember that Fall is also a great time to play with colors, textures and styles so it is okay to try some deep burgundy or chocolate brown hues if you get tired of orange colors ( save those for Halloween!).
For your wall decor, it may have been a while since you last did an update. Well, we are all for timeless decor but you might want to have some room for a few new stylish wall pieces that are perfect for the season. Floating shelves are one of those magical accents that you can add to your walls. They just seem to work anytime and anywhere. Decorate your walls with geometric floating shelves that are crafted from mixed metal and wood if you would like to create a trendy yet classic look for your home during the season and all year long.
Here’s how the Balsa Circle community is getting ready:

Get Ready for Parties
There are just so many opportunities for Autumn celebrations, so make sure that you are well prepared for upcoming parties. If you are hosting Thanksgiving, now is the best time to check your linens, serving dishes and silverware. Tablecloths are the base of any perfect table setting so be sure and decide first on which fabrics to use for your tables. This way, it will be easier to coordinate dinnerware, centerpieces and other decorative pieces you would like to put on your tabletop.
Since we are getting ready for temperatures dropping and the indoors getting extra cozy, how about decorating with deep hues for this year’s fall season? Incorporating jewel tones into your color palette is an easy way to make your space elegant and inviting. Try something like premium velvet tablecloths paired with matching overlays or table runners. Then, accessorize with textured crinkled accordion taffeta dinner napkins together with other tableware and decorative pieces for a truly sophisticated table setting.
If your family grew this year (congratulations!) and you’ll have extra guests, think about adding some disposable tableware - you can reuse the plates for more than one occasion, clean up is easy, and you won’t worry about not having enough place settings. A quick look at your current inventory will help you decide if you need to add more to your collection or simply give them a thorough cleaning.
You may not have enough time for any of this, especially if you’re planning a wedding or focused on the holidays ahead. That’s ok too! We only have so much energy in the day. Enlist your family to help, or make a to-do list. Start decorating the bigger rooms first, where guests are more likely to venture and go from there.
Finally, remember to indulge and celebrate all your hard work with a cup of tea or apple cider! If you found these tips helpful, let us know in the comments or share your home decor ideas by tagging #BalsaCircle on Instagram!
