DIY Balloon Hearts Backdrop Photo Booth Idea

We are so excited to share this DIY with you! If you’ve been wondering how to create a gorgeous balloon backdrop that’s perfect for your party, we have an easy how-to tutorial. So whether you’re celebrating a birthday party, bridal shower, baby shower, or setting up a photo booth - this backdrop works for so many events!

For our DIY, we used 16 balloons total in rose gold, lavender, and pink. Each balloon is 15 inches tall x 15 inches wide so the grid will be about 5 feet x 5 feet. The table is 4 feet long so it fits perfectly. If you need a longer or wider grid, feel free to add more balloons. The best part is that you can make this backdrop with other types of balloons - music notes, butterflies, flowers, and is much more!

Once you’ve inflated your balloons (with a hand pump to make it go faster!) you’ll want to add them to the wall! As you’ll see in the video, we used glue dots BUT they are not the best option. We instead recommend duct tape or 3M sticky tabs as they will make sure your balloon stay up on the wall during your party. You can still use glue dots to make sure there are no gaps between the balloons, they are a very handy decorating tool!

When you’re done with this set up, keep in mind that these balloons are reusable! Just insert a straw into the valve and squeeze the air out. Just store them out of direct sunlight and you can re-inflate them.

For the treats table, we have a blush tablecloth over a polyester tablecloth and we added a vase with silk tulips. We also accented the table with candle holders. What desserts would you add to this table? We chose cookies! For the finishing touch, serve your guests with drinks on a tray with elegant champagne flutes. That’s it, you’re ready to celebrate!

We hope this set up inspired you make your very own balloon backdrop! If you make this backdrop for your event or photo booth, make sure to share it with us either in the comments or you can tag us on Instagram @BalsaCircle so we can find your DIY.
